This series consist of renditions of the great artist of times past. This is HooMagritte, inspired by abstract artist René Magritte, Catalog #411 .Technique is layers of color and the vase is a silver, process cyan pour, with the tree of life painted into it in white with a pick. Size 20" x 20" on gallery wrapped canvas, color blocked edges.

My favorite art tools are knives. They are unforgiving yet clear and finite when used. Working within the acrylic family is fun, but working with modeling paste is where the art begins; free form and each application remind me of swimming. What I love best about creating art is the freedom of expression without fear of consequence. When I am able to say a work has turned out well, is actually the moment when I can return to the art over the course of several days and repeatedly be transported into the picture itself.
