Artist's Description

This series consist of renditions of the great artist of times past. Georgia O’Keeffe, a key inspiration to me. After her years of living in New York, she settled in Sante Fe, New Mexico (Yes…I lived in New Mexico). Her paintings took on a different subject, with a focus on desert scenes and skulls, but she always managed to slip one of her famous O’Keeffe flowers into the picture. This painting has the desert mountains including the rough edges and breaks in the rock formations, a skull, and of course my favorite, the morning glory. This is HooO’Keeffe, acrylic on 20 x 20 gallery wrapped canvas. Enjoy!
