Artist's Description
This series consist of renditions of the great artist of times past. Gustav Klimt, another abstract favorite of mine had his own �Tree of Life� with old, silver, and bronzing� of which I have followed suite with the addition of an owl. The Hoo�s turned out great and it was difficult to capture all of the gold, bronze, and copper in the photo� but it�s in there. This is �HooKlimt� Acrylic, 20x 20 on gallery wrapped canvas.

My favorite art tools are knives. They are unforgiving yet clear and finite when used. Working within the acrylic family is fun, but working with modeling paste is where the art begins; free form and each application remind me of swimming. What I love best about creating art is the freedom of expression without fear of consequence. When I am able to say a work has turned out well, is actually the moment when I can return to the art over the course of several days and repeatedly be transported into the picture itself.
