Hoo's City - Second most popular collection, only two originals remain in the series out of the four. The owls are all unique in the collection, contemporary, yet abstract. Hoolandia is a signature mark of artist, Mimi "Amanda" Stirn from Cape Coral. Works have been juried into art festivals, received awards and recognition through Fine Art America and have been sold around the US. Only two originals remain in the collection. About MiMi Stirn
My favorite art tools are knives. They are unforgiving yet clear and finite when used. Working within the acrylic family is fun, but working with modeling paste is where the art begins; free form and each application remind me of swimming. What I love best about creating art is the freedom of expression without fear of consequence. When I am able to say a work has turned out well, is actually the moment when I can return to the art over the course of several days and repeatedly be transported into the picture itself.
