The Hoopunked Steampunk Owl collection is painted on gallery wrapped canvas with color blocked edges (1.75" wrapped). The series includes techniques of dripping, paper cuts outs (gouaches d�coup�s) with a layer of glazing and detailing. including blending, iridescent highlights, glazing, drips, layers of paint, using conventional and non-conventional painting tools to create unique surfaces capturing light and color. There are 4 Hoopunked Steampunks in this series.

My favorite art tools are knives. They are unforgiving yet clear and finite when used. Working within the acrylic family is fun, but working with modeling paste is where the art begins; free form and each application remind me of swimming. What I love best about creating art is the freedom of expression without fear of consequence.
